ELLICOTT CITY, Md. — The Alliance of Sleep Apnea Partners (ASAP) is pleased to announce that Jatin Tekchandani, MSBME, R.EEG T., RPSGT, is joining its Board of Directors. Mr. Tekchandani brings a unique combination of clinical expertise and technical acumen that will strengthen how ASAP delivers information to patients and their support networks.

Jatin's contributions to sleep medicine span clinical education, professional leadership, and public advocacy. A leading authority on digital polysomnography, he authored the chapter on the subject in the latest edition of Fundamentals for Sleep Professionals and has presented to professionals at NASA, the Navy Postgraduate School, the VA, Stanford, and Baylor. He holds the distinction of being the first and only RPSGT to achieve faculty membership in the Sleep Education Consortium, delivered the TEDx Talk "Better Living through Neuroengineering," served as Vice President of the Texas Society of Sleep Professionals, and currently serves on the board of the American Academy of Cardiovascular Sleep Medicine. Professionally, he oversees clinical trial management, device development, and innovation in sleep medicine, and provides consulting services to sleep technology startups.

“I am looking forward to sharing my knowledge, skills and perspective with ASAP’s membership and the broader sleep community,” said Jatin. “My hope is that my understanding of the significance of how to deliver information will help bridge communication gaps for patients.”

Jatin's professional credentials include a Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering (MSBME), Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT), Registered EEG Technologist (R.EEG T.), and CompTIA Secure Infrastructure Specialist (CSIS). This blend of clinical and technical credentials uniquely positions him to identify barriers in sleep medicine and deliver solutions that resonate with both clinicians and patients.

“Jatin brings his vast knowledge and expertise, along with his years of experience working within the sleep community, including bridging partnerships between industry, professional organizations, patients and clinicians” says Monica Mallampalli, PhD, President and CEO of the Alliance of Sleep Apnea Partners. “JT’s enthusiasm to support ASAP’s mission and his commitment to patient care is commendable and we look forward to having him join the ASAP family!”
